THE CHAMPIONS BOW OUT IN AN UNFORTUNATE MANNER
Bayern Munich levelled the tie on aggregate score after Eric Choupo Moting scored his second goal against his former team to make 3-3 on aggregate. However, despite winning 0-1, the Champions were sent crashing out from the competition that they won last season in a rampant manner.
Many pundits and experts believed that Bayern could possibly become the second club after Real Madrid to defend the UEFA Champions League title after it was rebranded. However, the task of defending the title is not as it seems after the Merengues defending the title for three consecutive seasons.Embed from Getty Images
CAN PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN GO ALL THE WAY?
Paris Saint-Germain are favourites to make it into the final of the UEFA Champions League after losing the last edition to Bayern Munich. The French side are by far one of the most lethal attacking units, however, their attempt to make into the final depends upon who the opposition they face in the semi-final.
Manchester City take on Borussia Dortmund tonight and the winner of the two would face PSG in the semi-finals. Last season, Paris Saint-Germain got the better of Dortmund in the UCL thus making them favourable opponents to face once again. However, if the Sky Blues qualify then it would definitely be an evenly contested tie between two of Europe’s most lethal sides.
