Manchester City have qualifed into the UEFA Champions League semi-final after defeating Borussia Dortmund 4-2 on aggregate.
Manchester City book their berth into the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2016 when they were sent crashing out against Real Madrid. After being knocked out from the quarter-finals for the past three consecutive years, Pep Guardiola has finally put an end to the dry run as the Sky Blues inch closer to their first-ever UCL title.
The second leg at the Signal Iduna Park started off on a strong note for Borussia Dortmund after Jude Bellingham scored an absolute wonder goal. However, City pulled themselves together in the second half as Riyad Mahrez converted from the spot and Phil Foden scored yet another spectacular goal for his side to send them home and dry into the semi-final.
Manchester City are now set to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League next. Meanwhile, Real Madrid prepare to face Chelsea in the semi-finals as well.

ERLING HAALAND’S DRY SPELL CONTINUES FOR BORUSSIA DORTMUND
Erling Haaland has managed to find his name on the scoresheet for Borussia Dortmund on a consistent basis since his arrival at the German club. However, recently the highly-rated Norwegian striker has failed to find the back of the net in his last seven fixtures in all competitions.
Against the Sky Blues last night, Haaland was nowhere to be seen despite playing at home. The 20-year-old had registered only a single shot which was off-target and also had the least touches of the field for a player to have completed 90 minutes. Many fans expected Erling Haaland to turn up against City, however, the striker failed to perform in both the legs of the tie which ultimately lead to Dortmund’s elimination.
