Manchester City beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-2 at the Parc des Princes in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.
Paris Saint-Germain have once again failed to beat Manchester City in the Champions League after losing 1-2. PSG opened the scoring early after Marquinhos headed home from an Angel Di Maria corner. However, in the second half, the Sky Blues tactically outclassed the hosts which saw them turn the score around after Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez found the back of the net.
To make matters worse for Mauricio Pochettino, the Argentine manager will be without Idrissa Gana Gueye for the second leg as he was shown a straight red card a few minutes after Mahrez gave Man City the lead.
The two away goals for Manchester City make it a mountain to climb for PSG in the second-leg at the Etihad Stadium to qualify for a second consecutive time in the Champions League final.

MARQUINHOS DELIVERS ONCE AGAIN ON THE BIG STAGE
Marquinhos’s return was a massive boost for Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian defender gave the hosts an early lead after scoring in the 15th minute. The 26-year-old has now delivered in some of the most important fixtures for PSG after scoring against RB Leipzig last season in the semi-final of the European Cup and now finding the back of the net against Bayern Munich and Manchester City respectively in the knockout stages.
Despite losing the game, Maruqinhos was one of PSG’s best performers. In fact, the entire defence of Paris Saint-Germain remained rock solid but two individual errors cost them the game. Mauricio Pochettino will be delighted with the back fours’s performance but such immature individual errors cannot be tolerated in the second leg.
