MANE FINALLY BREAKS HIS SCORING DUCK

Sadio Mane has not had his best season in front of goal this time around. The Liverpool forward has netted just 13 times so far, compared to his 22 goals last season, in all competitions. The Senegalese was on the scoresheet against Leeds United, as he scored the only goal of the game for the visitors. It was one of the easiest goals the forward would have scored during his career, as he tapped the ball into an empty net, after a costly error from Meslier.

The 29-year old broke his goal-scoring drought on Monday, after he failed to register in the past 10 games for the Merseyside giants. Moreover, this was only his second goal this calendar year, which shows his struggles in front of goal of late. However, he has now found his goal-scoring form, and will hope to finish the season on a high.

LEEDS SHOWED CHARACTER IN A DESERVED DRAW

Leeds United have been one of the most impressive sides this season. The newly-promoted team have played without any fear, and have maintained the same intensity for the full 90 minutes, week in and week out. They are known for their resilient attitude, which has helped them to stay safe from relegation and lurk in the top half of the standings.

Leeds secured all three points against Manchester City, despite being a man down for the one half of the game last weekend. Against Liverpool, they were put under tremendous pressure in the first half, but they kept themselves in the game. Marcelo Biesla’s side fought valiantly in the second half, and got a equalizer in the 87th minute. Leeds United have got some impressive results against the Big Six so far, and the one against the champions was their most recent.
