Liverpool and Manchester United had to share the spoils at Anfield as one of the most anticipated fixtures ended in a disappointing draw.
Neither side could find the breakthrough as goal-shy Liverpool and Premier League-leaders Manchester United played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield. The Reds will have to thank Alisson Becker who denied two clear cut chances from Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba to keep Liverpool in the game.
The hosts put a lot of pressure on the Red Devils but could not find a way past the solid Manchester defense. Both sides had chances to win the game over 90 minutes.
Roberto Firmino lashed the best chance of the early stages wide when Andy Robertson was in a better position in the box. At the other end, Bruno Fernandes curled a free-kick just the wrong side of Alisson’s post during the first 45 minutes lacking clear-cut chances.
The result means United maintain their status as league leaders, two points ahead of Leicester City and three ahead of Liverpool – who have scored just one goal in their last four league outings.

A SENSATIONAL PERFORMANCE FROM ALISSON BECKER TO DENY SEVERAL CLEAR CUT CHANCES
Alisson was at his very best tonight and was arguably responsible for his side walking away with a point. The Brazilian was precise in his distribution and very crucial when it came to shot-stopping. Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba were behind really dangerous shots in the second half but were thwarted away by the shot-stopper.
They were two big saves that reaffirmed Alisson’s huge importance to Jurgen Klopp’s side. The 28-year-old also swept up multiple counter attacks. He was commanding throughout the match and saved his side a point today.
