HAKIM ZIYECH GRABS HIS OPPORTUNITY WITH BOTH HANDS

Hakim Ziyech is one of the unfortunate Chelsea players to miss out on a spot in the starting line-up. The Moroccan has done nothing wrong off-late, but Thomas Tuchel has plenty of options up his sleeve. The former Ajax midfielder scored in consecutive games in March, prior to the international break. He scored vital goals against Atletico Madrid and Sheffield United in the European Cup and FA Cup respectively.

The 28-year old was handed his first start in four games, and he grabbed his opportunity with both hands. He opened the scoring in the 55th minute, which helped the London side progress into the final. Moreover, the Moroccan was at the right place at the right time to take advantage of a perfect pass from Timo Werner.

ARE MANCHESTER CITY CRUMBLING UNDER PRESSURE?

Manchester City have been in terrific form this season, and they are one of the highly-rated teams in Europe. The Sky Blues held their nerve and defeated Borussia Dortmund in a crunch quarterfinal clash in the Champions League. However, there have been a few poor results for City off-late. Their loss against Chelsea means that they can no longer win the quadruple this season.

Pep Guardiola’s men suffered a horrific 2-1 loss to Leeds United last weekend, despite the latter being reduced to 10-men in the first half itself. The league leaders also lost to their local rivals, Manchester United in the derby clash last month. This means that the Sky Blues have lost three out of their past 10 games, which is not a good sign heading into the most crucial part of the season.
