Barcelona managed to secure their first three points of the new year against Huesca after a rather performance against Eibar last year.
Barcelona have started the new year on a bright note after securing a 0-1 victory against Huesca in La Liga. The Catalans have bid goodbye to a horrible 2020 that was by far one of the worst years in the club’s long history. Barca are currently placed fifth in the La Liga table and far behind the league leaders, Atletico Madrid. One could possibly say that the La Liga title has slipped out of the hands of Ronald Koeman now. The objective for the rest of the season should be winning the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa Del Rey.
Nonetheless, the win against Huesca will certianly be a morale booster for Barcelona and its players. Although, the game against Huesca also highlighted several issues that Barca still face. Let us look further into this topic by analysing the three talking points from the fixture.

BARCELONA STRUGGLE TO CONVERT CHANCES TO SEAL A COMFORTABLE VICTORY
Barcelona had 20 shots against Huesca and only managed to find the back of the net on one occassion. The Catalans created 17 chances out of which 4 were big opportunites that were missed. 17-year-old Pedri had two goal-scoring chances that were squandered, meanwhile, Alvaro Fernandez stood tall on two occassions to deny Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi.
The sheer lack of finishing has seen Ronald Koeman call out the squad post game. The Dutchman even stated that Barca require a new striker to consistently find the back of the net. Marc-Andre ter Stegen was also in support of the manager as the German stated that team is sturggling to finish chances.
