LIONEL MESSI IS BACK TO HIS OLD BEST
Lionel Messi has finally started firing all cylinders this season after a rather slow start according to his high standards. His double last night has seen the 33-year-old top the charts of the highest scorers this season in La Liga. Leo Messi now has six goals and two assists in his last five fixtures for Barca.
Messi’s performance against Granada was nothing short of phenomenal. The captain scored a stunning goal early in the first half from Antoine Griezmann’s pass before placing a beautiful free-kick to secure his second goal of the evening. It seemed like Messi would get his third and complete a hattrick, however, Ronald Koeman had other plans and preferred substituting the 33-year-old in the 65th minute.
