AUBAMEYANG HAS GONE FROM HERO TO ZERO

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is perhaps the best Arsenal player but he has been nowhere close to his usual self this season. With just one goal from open play in the Premier League, the Gabonese was already being questioned about his form and an own goal that led to eventual defeat will only go on to raise further doubts over his qualities.

The captain extended his contract this summer and continues being one of the club’s highest-paid players. However, Arsenal may have been better off getting rid of him for financial reasons at the very least. With that said, it remains to be seen how he will respond to the latest setback and hopefully it is in a positive way.

OZIL HAS TO BE GIVEN HIS CHANCE FOR ARSENAL

Mesut Ozil has been treated miserably by Arsenal despite pledging loyalty to the club publicly. There has been a lot of speculation as to why the former Germany international has been omitted entirely from the club’s final squads for the season and the truth remains to be seen. But the bottom line is that they need a player of his quality back.

Alexandre Lacazette has been used as a creative attacker. The Frenchman was one of the better players going forward for Arsenal earlier this season but his form has also taken a drastic hit due to being played in an unconventional role. With the club lacking creativity as well as funds to buy a player, Ozil surely deserves an opportunity to redeem himself.
