An analysis of three reasonably priced players that Real Madrid could possibly sign in the summer transfer window to bolster their squad.

The 2019/20 has come to a tragic end for Real Madrid after the club was sent crashing out in the Round of 16 in the Champions League for a second consecutive time. Although Real have been crowned champions of Spain and also managed to win the Spanish super cup, it would be a massive risk for Zinedine Zidane to start the 2020/21 campaign without making a few changes.

Before COVID-19 it seemed like the Los Vikingos were going to run riot in the summer of 2020, many reports claimed that the club would sign Eduardo Camavinga as a backup for Casemiro along with Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain who has been considered by Zidane and Florentino Perez as the ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, with COVID-19 and its impact all over the world, Real Madrid finds itself in a tough spot as Florentino Perez has made it clear that the club will not be making any expensive signings. Here are five players the club could possibly sign without breaking the bank

AISSA MANDI

The 28-year-old Algerian defender of Real Betis has proven his worth this season at the Benito Villamarin. Aissa Mandi is originally a right-back who was converted into a centre-back. Mandi is a traditional old school defender as the player relies on his physical prowess such as his pace and strength to dominate any position in the defensive backline.

The Algerian is extremely calm and composed as well on the ball which is a key figure in a modern-day centre-back. Mandi is often spotted playing short passes along the backline and the midfield to ease the pressure off while distributing the ball.

However, the defender has a few short-comings as well. Aissa Mandi is average in the air and is far too aggressive while defending which has seen him earn several cards and fouls throughout the season.

The 28-year-old is valued at just 12 million euros and could prove to be an ideal replacement for Nacho Fernandez. Mandi can be played as a right-back as well and could even cover up for Dani Carvajal when required.
